There seems to be a bug that the text disappears just by playing normally.

(It also occurred with 1.2 patched.)

Just checked it out! It seems that this bug occurs randomly, which of course doesn't make it any less worse.

I will work on a new update and find what exactly is triggering this reaction. I expect to launch the update by the next days.

Thank you very much for your feedback and patience, Saka!!

Weird, there's nothing that expensive on the game, I checked here and the price is 600 of your coins. Maybe it converged with another variable or just a one-time bug. Anyway, I will investigate it further. Thank you for yourreporting it!

Thank you very much for your reply! If you are using the unpatched version of 1.2, please download the patched version (yes, I just updated it minutes after 1.2, sorry, but I happened to discover a bug regarding the Grande Casa freezing)

You already have the option to turn the audio off at the options, in the start menu. I will fix the slavery and go back issues, thank you very much for reporting them.

Again,  thank you again for the support mate! I will keep updating the game and making it better, if possible, spread the word to friends and Internet :)

I'm using version 1.11 and have encountered bugs such as characters disappearing from the screen just by playing normally, and diplomatic missions raising public opinion instead of prestige.

Thank you for your feedback, I have been working for the last hours to fix these bugs. A new patch will be released in a matter of minutes to fix those issues, including the one about diplomatic missions.

The new features I added ended up converging with some core structures, but many of the issues will be fixed very soon, I have already corrected many of them and in a matter of  15 minutes or less the new corrections will be released!

Thank you for your comment and feedback!

Warning: wall of text ahead.

Ok, so I definitely broke it lol. Once I realized what engine the game was made in I started using the "Z" and "X" keys to open and close menus.  The game does not like this.

Apparently using the default "X" key will go back to whatever menu/menu option you were at before. This seems to cause some issues.  I tried to back out of building banana farms (I can't remember if I hit "ESC" or "X" to be honest) and instead all the GUI's disappeared and I was moving the background image of Casa Grande as if it were a character sprite.  Hitting "ESC" brought up the party menu, which as far as I know is never supposed to happen.  I found no way to make the GUI's come back from this point. Unfortunately I have no way of knowing if this issue came from the update or if it was there from the start. :(

Also, as a secondary, the banana farm dialog points to the country name instead of the currency E.G. it says it will cost me 600 Tropicos (country name), not 600 Gorditos (my currency name).

I have to admit, I love when people use programs to make things the program wasn't meant for (I do it all the time with AGS). Really clever stuff using RPGMV like this :3 I know what a pain it is but I'd honestly recommend you check out Adventure Game Studio, it was made for stuff like this.

I'll keep poking the game and see what else I can dig up.

Wow... Now that is something I need to find a way to fix XD

Thank you for your comment! I was not aware of that banana farm error, I will add it to the patch I am making right now XD

Maybe it came with the update, I added many new things that were directly related to the Java base of the game, right now as I fix it I already found some errors that passed away by my first check. The entire idea of using RMMV to this was pretty crazy I admit, but funny at the same time ahahahahahaha, I was toying with the engine for months making simple things then I thought "Wait... Can I make a strategy sim with this?" ahahahahaha. I will check Adventure Studio for the next project similar to this! Thank you for your feedback, really!

Also, as I said, I have been working on a new patch for the last few hours, I plan to finish it in a matter of 1 to 3 hours. Just a quick cleaning to make the game itself free from the new errors.

Again, thanks for your comment :)

Version 1.1 behaves like a lot of bugs, including a quick freeze.

Thanks for your feedback! Can you please give more details about the bugs? Which version are you using?

I'm using version 1.11 and have encountered bugs such as characters disappearing from the screen just by playing normally, and diplomatic missions raising public opinion instead of prestige.

Just uploaded version 1.12! Some of the problems you said regarding minor bugs like the prestige were fixed. I also ran quick tests regarding the screen freezing and found the problems to apparently be fixed. If those problems were not fixed, I will keep delving into the game to fix them!

Please keep with the feedback, thank you saka!

I really like this game so far. I agree with the suggestion of allowing us to directly type the names in as opposed to the RPG-style.

I also think some type of visual feedback as to the passage of time, maybe also a wait button? Unless I'm missing something, it's rather tedious that the only way to update on-screen information is by mindlessly opening/closing menus.

I do like all the options though, this feels like South American "WARSIM" and that's pretty awesome. I'm wondering if it's just best to ban the masonry early on for all the sweet cash.

I always wanted a bite-sized Tropico :3

Thank you very much for your feedback! :)

This game was in fact hugely inspired by Warsim, I am really a fan of their game and work! I got some feedback talking about the same issue regarding time. It passes naturally, every 15 minutes equals a year, but I really should have clarified that. By coincidence, I have been working for the last two days on a new update, which I will release in a matter of a few minutes! I honestly like the initial text, and since it can be skipped I don't see it as a major problem. However, I will try to find a new way to make it more simple without sacrificing my initial intentions.

It will add:

- Five different options at the start regarding how your nation got independence (each option giving different advantages or disadvantages)

- A simple line at the beginning explaining  how time passes

- New sound effects

- More details about native revolts

- A fix that enhances the chance of a Civil War (the previous chance was too low and I really want some players to experience this event during other runs)

- New versions for Linux and Mac

Again, thank you for your comment! :D

I'm looking forward to playing more when I get home from work!

This is a really cool idea. I would really suggest letting people just type their names and countries in the opening screen, it took way too long to input that stuff.

Thanks for the feedback! :) I tried to create some flavor text before the intro, but your suggestion is more than welcome! I will upload a new update in the coming days with some new features, small corrections and some other minor additions. Thanks for your comment!
